In Texas 101 we study and visit the history of Texas wine and the vineyards and in Texas 201 we see how wine is tasted and served with food in Texas. in our newest tour, Texas 301, we will see how wineries manage to come closer to the consumers by opening outposts or even base camps in cities with a large population. Houston with over 4 million people is home to several wineries, but we will concentrate on three of them, as they use mostly or exclusively Texas grapes
During this tour we will pick up all participants in a central pick up spot and take you to three wineries, Houston Winery in Houston, Wild Stallion in Spring and Newsom Vineyards Tasting Room in Tomball. You will taste close to 15 different wines and get to know what all grows in Texas and how good the resulting wine is
After the last tasting we will migrate to a great Argentinean restaurant in Tomball, where we will eat great meats and other specialties paired with the best wines from the tour
And then after the dinner we will bring you back to the point of origin in Houston
