Tours to France

Three France Tour Options

Due to increased inquiries for groups of only 4-6 travelers we are now launching some of our tours, also in a ultra-small group size. Germany, France, Peru and Mexico City are the first locations we will be offering ultra-small group tours to. As an idea on the cost point, depending on the tour of course, the cost for a group of 4-6 will be 25% higher, per person, than that of a group of 8-10.

We essentially propose three tours to France that are worth it food and wine wise. All three ideally run from Wednesday to the following week Sunday and will cost right around 7000 USD per person in groups of 8-10 (8750 USD for a group of 4-6) :
Tour 1: Starting in Bordeaux, we go to the Loire Valley, Normandy to see the D-Day Landing Beaches, then Champagne and end up in Paris
Tour 2: Starting in Marseille, we cover the whole southern part of France with the Provence, Rhone Valley, Chateauneuf du Pape, Languedoc Rouissillon and ending in Bordeaux.
Tour 3: Starting in Marseille we do Provence, Burgundy, Alsace, Champagne and end up in Paris.

Why Visit France

The Wine

Wines from Bordeaux and Burgundy are recognized as the best, but Loire, Champagne, Alsace and Rhone are good in their own right. We will visit the main regions of France and sample why French wine is such a paragon for the rest of the world.

The food and restaurants

France is the craddle of modern restaurant business. Escoffier with his kitchen organization, Bocuse with his cuisine nouvelle have both influenced kitchen and cooking world wide. But there are many more chefs, France is also home to Michelin, the tire firm, that brought out a guide for business travelers indicating where you can stop on your way to eat(*), should stop on your way (**), or should take a detour to (***), thus creating the most regarded restaurant guide in the world, Guide Michelin. Eating at Michelin rated restaurants may seem prohibitive, but does not need to be so and during our tour we will eat at many to explore the quality associated with what means Michelin stars in restaurants.

The Cheese

With over 700 different cheeses from so many different regions, cheese deserves a chapter on its own. Many cheeses that we will sample during cheese tastings or in regional restaurants, we will never see in the US, thanks to strict USDA rules that intend to protect American consumers from tasting such delicacies.

The Culture

French culture, the museums in Paris, the chateaus all over France, are also such famous sites that seeing them once should be on almost everyones bucket list.
