Gourmet Tours World Wide, LLC was founded 2008 in Houston, Texas, with the idea of offering small or ultra small group, food and wine/beer oriented tours.
We are a Certified Travel Agent and are insured by the Evolution/Archer Travel Network.
We have over four decades of experience in the food and wine industry, group travel, luxury travel and tourism, which makes tours of GTWW a great experience for gourmands, gourmets, oenophiles (wine lovers), zythophiles (beer lovers) and others.
Our tours focus on visiting the best wineries, breweries, distilleries and restaurants. These can be nationally or internationally awarded businesses or little mom-and-pop shops that we consider special.
Our tours are developed with the traveler's wants and needs in mind, so your group will be involved in the development of the tour with regular update emails, meetings, zoom conferences, etc. so that at the end you will be traveling on YOUR TOUR.
At GTWW we know that organized big group travel is not for everyone and organizing a trip for friends or family can be overwhelming. That’s why we offer ALL-INCLUSIVE tours and you only need to show up, ideally hungry and thirsty.
Pablo is an American citizen (since 2024) born in Lima, Peru to German and Peruvian parents. He attended the prestigious private German School in Lima “Alexander von Humboldt”.
He absolved his college education in Germany, at the University of Bonn, one of Germany's top ten universities. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Political Science, with a mention in Constitutional Law.
During the last years of college and in first jobs after college, Pablo worked with a lot of groups to tour Germany or Europe. These groups were American Study Abrooad college students, journalists from different countries, delegations of politicians, and even presidents and heads of state.
During these tours Pablo organized speakers, translated and showed the participants around and introduced them to the cultural differences of the country the groups were visiting
After his move to Texas in 2005 Pablo carved out a career path in food and beverages in different positions where he learned more about the industry. His long tenure as Specialty Food Buyer for Specs Wine and Finer Foods in Houston and Texas allowed him to build a network of food companies that form part of tours today.
When he quit Specs after 7 years he started working for different wine companies and learned more about the wine and spirits industry. After selling wine from Peru, Germany, Italy, Argentina and Spain, he still sells Texas wine as it allows him to stay in the wine world.
While working for Spec's, in 2008, he came up with the idea to taking foodie groups, first to Peru and then later on to other places in the world. Since being branded as Gourmet Tours World Wide there have been tours to Germany, France, Mexico, Peru and Spain. In 2024 the first tours to Australia will be offered
As a tri-country citizen and a tri-lingual (SPA/ENG/GER), Pablo sees his role as a bridge between the cultures, through the specific fields of food, wine and beer. He likes to cook foods and drink wines from the world, though for beer he prefers German, Czech and Slovak beers. He has had to finish several Triathlons to compensate the effect of his passions.
